„Goodnight Moommy“ wins the competition of the 25th International Ljubljana Filmfestival 2014!! KINGFISHER AWARD – Jury statement
For the condensed complexity of its storytelling, its refreshingly assertive approach to the critically neglected horror genre, for retaining several ambiguities at once and for its excellent performances – particularly that of Susanne Wuest, who for much of the film must convey so much with so little.

It’s the third award for this genre auteur film by Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala! Produced by Ulrich Seidl Film it’s distributed i.a. by RADIUS (North America) and Koch Media (Germany/UK).

So far it won the KINGFISHER AWARD for best feature film at the 25th Int Filmfestival Ljubljana, the FIPRESCI PRIZE at Int FF Thessaloniki 2014, MÉLIÈS d’ARGENT AWARD for best feature film and the José Luis Guarner Critics’ SPECIAL MENTION at the Sitges – Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Cataluña 2014 and was nominated for the VENICE HORIZONS AWARD at the Venice Film Festival 2014
